P7 pupils from Glaitness School in Orkney have just returned from a trip to Abernethy outdoor centre in Nethybridge. Each day we made a video of all the activities we took part in, edited them in imovie, exported them as Quicktime Web files and uploaded them as podcasts to our blogsite for the benefit of parents. Glaitness School in Orkney

I work as a music, ict and support teacher in a Primary School in the Orkney Islands, with approximately 250 pupils, and as the Masterclass representative, have taken it upon myself to set up the school website. It has been very rapid learning over the last 6 months, but I am really excited by the way things are developing. See Glaitness Home Page
The school building has been extended and as result I have produced a plan of the school, using a remote rollover effect to bring up photos of the various rooms. See School Plan
I am really keen to get the kids involved and have been using NVU as a simple means of creating individual web pages. We are very lucky to have enough ibooks for a class to work in pairs, and have loaded NVU on each of the laptops, plus some templates to get them started. See Project pages
Have also tried using iweb on one machine, and by passing it around classes each class can easily add a photo or text to a ready made template. Ideally it would be great for each class to have it’s own licensed copy of iweb, and publish themselves, although at least this way someone can have overall control. See Class Pages
